What is Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation:
Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation uses ultrasound technology to reduce stubborn fatty deposits and cellulite in localized areas that are resistant to diet and exercise. This is not a treatment for obesity, nor is it a weight loss procedure, but rather a method for shaping and toning the body. The ultrasonic beam creates acoustic waves through a metal handpiece to ensure that focused energy is applied to only the area selected for treatment. Specific ultrasound parameters of pulse length and energy level ensure selective damage to fat cells only. Non-adipose tissue remains untouched and undamaged. This selective damage is mechanical destruction of the fat cell membrane, causing the contents, primarily triglycerides, to be released into the interstitial fluid where they are processed by physiological metabolic pathways. Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation offers a painless way to target and eliminate fat deposits, helping you achieve a smoother shape..
Is it safe?
Yes, Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation is a safe, non-invasive procedure with virtually no side effects and no recovery period. The ultrasound energy is delivered by a handheld device that targets only the fatty tissue beneath the skin, without affecting blood vessels, nerves, or connective tissue.
Which areas can be treated?
Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation can treat various areas, including the abdomen, hips, inner and outer thighs, buttocks, upper arms, inside knees, and back fat.
How many treatments are required?
Following one treatment, on average, a 3cm decrease in circumference size is observed in the treatment area, with more significant results obtained with a series of treatments. A series can range from 5-10 treatments per area, spaced one week apart, with each session lasting 20-30 minutes. Generally, results will become apparent around the 3-4 treatment mark. For the best, long-term results, this procedure must be combined with a change in lifestyle, diet, and an exercise regime.
Is it suitable for everyone?
The treatment is not suitable for women during pregnancy and lactation, for people with a medical history of liver/kidney disorders or failure, heart disease, lymphatic disorders, thrombosis, medical transplant patients, epilepsy, anyone with a serious illness, or persons taking lipid-lowering drugs or anti-coagulant medication. Individuals with electronic implants (pace-maker) are not suitable for this treatment. Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation treatments cannot be performed over any metallic prosthesis, protruding varicose veins, or hormonal implants.
Pre & post treatment guidelines:
Water intake must be increased prior to and following treatment to help facilitate the elimination of fat and toxins. It is recommended to drink 1-2 litres of water per day for 3 days before and after treatment. Food is to be avoided one hour before and one hour after treatment. For the best results, it is strongly recommended to maintain a low carbohydrate (including alcohol), low-calorie diet for a few days after the treatment to ensure fat is utilized and metabolized by the body; this takes approximately 72 hours after each session. Light to moderate exercise for about 30 minutes is recommended for 3 days following the procedure.
What will I experience during the treatment?
During the Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation treatment, a whistle-like tick is heard in the ears, which is entirely harmless. Some individuals may feel small prickles of heat, and the skin may appear flushed or red; however, this dissipates quickly following treatment.
